Our February profile is no other than our own Finance & Operations Manager, Tanya Kruger (soon to be De Canha). No doubt many of you have spoken to her on the phone. Originally from the Eastern Cape she completed her studies in Cape Town in 2010, after which she did a 5-year stint in London. Tanya now lives in Strand with her fiancée and two bull-terriers, Salvator and Igor and is the lady in charge of keeping the wheels running smoothly at AdMarula’s office in Technopark.

Veterinarian, because of my incredible love for animals.

Describe a typical day at the office:

Our office is generally a very friendly place. Mornings start off with the usual greet and coffee time, catching up on the previous night’s shenanigans and dinner recipes. We then all crack on with the day’s work and aim to give a great customer experience to all our clients and publisher partners. My job entails a lot of different things. I could be sitting in a team meeting the one minute going through the week’s agenda, or producing reports on all our different campaigns’ performance, and the next minute I’m paying invoices. It’s a good thing I am very organised!

How do you stay organised?

I diarise a lot and make loads of lists. I also guess it is in my nature.

I absolutely hate…

Unorganised people, animal abusers and when people do not respond to whatsapp messages!

I absolutely love…

My bull-terriers, my fiancé and gin! (especially the pink one).

Your favourite travel destination…

Without a doubt Thailand. It is really tourist friendly and the people are so welcoming and humble.The place is super beautiful and the islands are picturesque.

Your favourite tech gadget is

My iPhone.

When I’m not working…

I’m mostly outdoors walking my bull-terriers and soaking up the sun. On occasion, I am sipping that pink gin.
